Health Benefits

Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans- The Center provides competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, with pre-tax payroll deductions for premiums. These plans are administered through BlueCross BlueShield of Texas (BCBSTX):

  • Medical Plan (2 options):
    1. Silver HMO Plan (Blue Essentials): Requires pre-selection of a Primary Care Physician.
    2. Gold PPO Plan (Blue Choice): Offers enhanced coverage as a buy-up plan.
  • Dental Plan (3 options):
    1. Low PPO Plan
    2. Mid PPO Plan
    3. High PPO Plan
  • Vision Plan (2 options):
    1. Base Plan
    2. Buy-Up Plan

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Flexible Spending Accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their salary for eligible medical, dental, vision, or dependent care expenses. Using pre-tax dollars, FSAs help increase non-taxable take-home pay. Choose between the following options:

  • Health Care FSA: Covers eligible medical expenses, including copays and deductibles.
  • Dependent Care FSA: Covers daycare or after-school expenses for dependents.

Disability Insurance

  • Short-Term Disability (STD):
    • Base Plan: Employer-paid benefit begins after 30 consecutive days of total disability.
    • Buy-Up Plan: Employee-paid option starts after 7 consecutive days of total disability.
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD): Employer-paid benefit begins after 90 consecutive days of total disability.

Life Insurance

  • Basic Term Life and AD&D Insurance: Coverage equal to annual salary, up to $300,000, provided at no cost to full-time employees starting on the first day of employment.
  • Supplemental Term Life & AD&D Insurance: Employees may purchase additional coverage for themselves, their spouses, and their children.

Retirement Plans

From the date of hire, employees can enroll in:

  • 457(b) Retirement Plan: The Center matches employee contributions up to 3% of annual salary.
  • 401(a) Retirement Plan: The Center contributes an additional 5% of annual salary starting the plan year quarter following the 1-year employment anniversary.

Professional Development

  • Tuition Reimbursement: Eligible full-time employees can receive up to $5,000 per calendar year (lifetime maximum of $20,000) after completing one continuous year of full-time employment.
  • Reimbursement for Licenses and Certifications: Up to $400 per fiscal year for exams or professional credentials with valid documentation.
  • Clinical Supervision Reimbursement: For LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LCDC-I license holders, partial reimbursement is provided for clinical supervision costs, with career growth opportunities upon full licensure.

Additional Benefits for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants

  • Continuing Medical Education (CME): $1,500 reimbursement annually and three additional days off for CME courses or exams.
  • Professional License Fees: 100% reimbursement for license fees.
  • Malpractice Insurance: Fully covered by The Center.

Wellness Programs

  • Health & Wellness Reimbursement: Eligible employees can receive up to $25 per month for gym or fitness program membership fees.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): All employees have access to confidential, 24/7 resources, including licensed counselors and financial experts, starting on the first day of hire.

Time Off and Holidays

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time employees accrue 4.93 hours per pay period starting on the first day of employment. PTO cannot be used until after the 6-month waiting period.
  • Holidays: The Center observes 11 paid holidays annually. Employees working during a holiday are eligible for double pay.
  • Floating Holidays: Full-time employees receive up to 2 floating holidays per fiscal year (pro-rated for new hires based on their hire date).
